Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 80 mini pretzels (whatever shape you like!)
  • Festive sprinkles for whatever occasion you are celebrating

Instructions

  • Line a couple of baking sheets with wax or parchment paper.  You can also put the paper directly on the counter if you aren't going to need to move it till they are set!
  • Melt the chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave on high for one minute. Stir and if necessary, microwave at additional 20-30 second intervals until melted and smooth
  • Dip the pretzels in to the melted chocolate and place on your prepared wax or parchment paper.  Sprinkle the chocolate dipped part of the pretzel immediately with festive sprinkles so they will set on the chocolate as it dries
  • Let the treats cool completely before boxing or bagging up!

Notes

Tips for the Best Easy Chocolate Dipped Pretzels:
  • Use semi‑sweet chocolate chips for the perfect balance with salty pretzels, or switch it up with milk, dark, or white chocolate.
  • Don’t overheat the chocolate. Warm just until it starts melting, then stir until smooth to avoid seizing.
  • Choose sprinkles that match your celebration. Walmart, Amazon, and Michael’s always have fun seasonal options.
  • Line your surface with wax or parchment paper. Wax paper is extra budget‑friendly and the pretzels release easily once set.
  • Dip with contrast. Leaving one corner of the pretzel bare looks pretty and lets you dip with your fingers. For fully coated pretzels, use two forks or a dipping tool.
