Italian Ground Beef Stroganoff

Shortcut beef stroganoff made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup and Italian seasoning packets for dinner in a flash!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (can sub cream of chicken)
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Crumble the ground beef in to a large skillet and sprinkle with the dry dressing mix.  Cook on high until browned and cooked through.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the water and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Add the soup mixture in to the skillet, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the sour cream, let it come to a simmer again, then serve!
  • Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes or rice.  (I love mine tossed with egg noodles and peas!)
