Easy to throw together, this restaurant style salsa is delicious and flavorful made with simple ingredients right in the blender in just a few minutes!
Add the tomatoes, green chilies, diced onion, jalapenos, minced garlic, lime zest and juice, sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, chipotle powder and cilantro in to the blender and pulse until desired consistency.
Taste and add additional salt and pepper for your preferred taste.
Refrigerate the salsa for at least two hours before serving to allow all the flavors to meld.

Here are a couple of tips for this recipe:
I LOVE to use the fire roasted canned tomatoes. They add an additional layer of flavor! However, if you just have plain canned, they will definitely work in a pinch.
Not a fan of heat? Reduce the jalapenos and chipotle powder.
Want more heat? Add more chipotle powder, or don't take all the seeds out of the jalapenos.
You can use a white, yellow or red onion.
Don't like cilantro? Switch it out for parsley! Yes, it will taste different, but if you don't like cilantro it's a great substitute.
