Notes

Tips for the Best Tuna Salad
  • Use good-quality white albacore tuna packed in water for the best texture and flavor. I love the one from Costco, which comes in 7oz cans
  • Drain the tuna well so the salad stays creamy instead of watery.
  • Dice the vegetables into small, even pieces for the perfect bite.
  • Let the tuna salad chill for at least an hour before serving if you have time—the flavors become even better.
  • Taste before serving and adjust the salt, pepper, or lemon juice as needed.
Variations
  • Replace the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • Replace the parsley with chopped dill.
  • Stir in finely chopped sweet pickles instead of relish.
  • Add ¼ cup chopped jalapeños or pepperoncini for extra tang.
  • Sprinkle in red pepper flakes or a few dashes of hot sauce for heat.
  • Add chopped hard-boiled eggs for extra protein.
  • Mix in chopped pecans or sliced almonds for crunch.
