  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper coarse ground
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a mason jar with a lid
  • Shake well until fully mixed. Store sealed at room temperature.

Notes

Tips for the BEST Homemade Taco Seasoning:
  • Use coarse black pepper for the best texture and flavor.
  • Smoked paprika adds depth — don't skip it!
  • For a spicier blend, increase the crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Shake the jar well before each use to redistribute the spices.
  • Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dark place for maximum freshness.
  • Use 2-3 Tbsp of this seasoning per pound of ground beef, depending on how bold you want the flavor!
  • I double the recipe and it fits beautifully in a 12oz mason jar.
