Homemade Cake Mix Oreos
These homemade mock Oreos start with a cake mix and include cream cheese frosting that glues two cookies together to make the Oreo!
Ingredients
Cookies:
- 1 box devils food cake mix
- 2 tsp flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup shortening
Frosting:
- 1 stick margarine
- 8 oz pkg cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3-3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
For the cookies:
- Mix together the cake mix, flour, vanilla, eggs and shortening.
- Roll in to small balls. (Should make about 24 balls.)
- Bake at 350 for 8-10 mins.
For the frosting:
- Beat together the margarine and cream cheese.
- Add the vanilla and powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
- Frost two cookies together.
