A mix between banana bread and banana cake, these frosted banana bars are easy to throw together and even more decadent with the cream cheese frosting!

Ingredients
Bars:
1/2cupbutter or margarine, softened
2cupssugar
3eggs
1-1/2cupsmashed ripe bananas(about 3 medium)
1tspvanilla extract
2cupsall purpose flour
1tspbaking soda
pinchof salt
Frosting:
1/2cupbutter or margarine, softened
8ozpackage cream cheese
4cupspowdered sugar
2tspvanilla extract(or 1 tsp maple extract)
Instructions
For bars:
Grease a 15×10 pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream the sugar and butter.
Beat in eggs until nice and fluffy, then beat in the bananas and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and combine well.
Pour into greased pan.
Bake at 350⁰ for 20-25 minutes, (until golden brown and a toothpick in the center comes out clean.)
Cool before frosting.
For Frosting:
Cream the butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat well and then spread over the cooled bars.
